A San Franciscan for nearly 20 years, Dr. Jake Hennen originally hails from Davenport, IA, the birthplace of chiropractic and the jumping off point for his lifelong pursuit of wellness and sport. He was raised on a diet of farming, home cooking, and exercise—his childhood days were spent hiking and wandering; in winter, he cross country skied to the neighbors’. His mother was a nurse, a gardener, cook and athlete—her drive toward wellness was instilled in him from the beginning.
Today, Dr. Jake is an accomplished athlete—a former competitive cyclist, sailor, and Ironman triathlete—who devotes his life to the study of human mobility and optimal performance. Through both personal experience and decades of client and patient care, he has the keen ability to discover root causes of dysfunction and pain in order to take your game to the next level.
Dr. Jake has education and experience in a range of integrated fields: chiropractic, functional neurology, culinary arts and nutrition, personal training, and massage and physical therapy. He is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West, has completed 300 hours of training at the Carrick Institute for Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation, and is a certified practitioner in the ReCODE Protocol for the Reversal of Cognitive Impairment and Alzheimer’s.
